Jyväskylän Salonkiorkesteri is an amateur orchestra from Jyväskylä that plays everything from classical to pop. I was commissioned for an orchestra website for the purpose of informing (future and current) players on the matters of the orchestra and giving a way for potential clients to contact the orchestra.
The orchestra standard
I digitized the original orchestra standard from the scan above, redesigning the text in the process.

Advanced Custom Fields
I used this plugin to add standardization to the posts. This way, it is easier for multiple people to write posts that look similar in appearance for the orchestra website. For example, similar to every other video post, in the case of a certain video upload, the information below the video embed reads:
- Performers: Jyväskylän Salonkiorkesteri, Jyväskylän Puhallinorkesteri
- Piece: The Dream
- Composer: Jerry Goldsmith
- Arranger: Olli Santa
- Location: Musica, Jyväskylä
- Context: Yläkaupungin Yö
- Date (dd.mm.yyyy): 21.05.2022
These can be set in any video category post.
In the post’s editing view, there is naturally an option for adding the video embed link, or in the case of a post in the audio category, an audio upload option. I also added an option to replace the header background image of the post.
bbPress and Ultimate Member
Using bbPress, I made a forum for the players’ use, accessed from a footer menu. Membership is managed with Ultimate Member.
TranslatePress
I used the plugin TranslatePress and my English language skills to translate the site and its contents.
